Start from the symptom you can see. Each page works through the causes in the order they actually turn out to be responsible, so the first check is usually the answer. This section is built from ClickFlare support history — roughly 24,000 conversations — so the ordering reflects what really goes wrong rather than what looks likely.

Tracking is not recording

Conversions not showing

Clicks are tracked but conversions never arrive, or arrive unattributed.

Clicks or visits missing

Traffic is running but ClickFlare shows nothing, or far less than the ad platform.

Tokens arriving empty

Campaign, ad or keyword columns are blank, or show the literal token text.

Lander or offer link broken

The CTA does not move the visitor on, or every CTA goes to the same place.

Numbers look wrong

Cost not pulling

Spend shows zero or stops updating while the ad account clearly spent.

Payout or revenue wrong

Conversions register but the amount is zero, fixed, or not what the network paid.

Numbers do not match

ClickFlare, the ad platform and the network each report something different.

Setup will not complete

Domain will not verify

A custom domain sits in pending or error and never turns active.

CAPI or pixel not firing

The integration saves, but the ad platform receives no events.

Before you start

Two things account for a large share of reports, and both are quick to rule out.
Shared domains get flagged by ad networks, and a flagged domain produces exactly the symptoms above — missing clicks, broken redirects, rejected ads. Always run traffic on a domain you control.See Custom Domains.
Conversions arrive when the network fires the postback, which for many offers is minutes or hours after the click, not seconds. Cost integrations pull on a schedule rather than continuously. Before investigating, confirm you are actually looking at a window where data should already exist. See Cost Updates Logs.
